Enjoy a guided walk through part of the high country that has not yet been discovered by crowds.
Follow a narrow track that winds through beautiful forest of tall trees to a pretty waterfall hidden away in a remote part of the mountains. This is a great hike for small children as they will have a good time skipping along the track, over rocks and fallen trees while trying to spot little lizards that hide in the tree trunks. The hike is easy, along slightly undulating track that is suitable for families with children as young as 4 years old, or younger if you’re happy to piggyback them for part of the walk should they get tired. Depending on the time of year, you can see pretty wildflowers and interesting fungi along the track. The Plain Creek Falls at the end of the track are the real reward, and if you’re lucky, you might even get to see the fish that live in the pool under the waterfall. You will get plenty of time at the waterfall to take it all in and snap a few photos.
