Enjoy a guided walk through a quiet section of Mt Stirling Alpine Resort.
Baldy Loop is a nice trail surrounded by towering Alpine Ash, that transforms into a cross country ski trail during winter and is a lovely hiking trail during the rest of the year.
This trail will take you past a pretty billabong where on calm days the water is so still, it looks like a mirror. You will amble along a creek hearing the water bubble over the rocks, while all this time you’ll want to keep an eye out for beautiful butterflies that will follow you along the track, little bugs scattering away, many birds and other animals that might be watching you from their hiding spots.
There are no challenges on this hike, no steep ascents or descents as the trail is just slightly undulating, so you can really concentrate on the surroundings and take it all in.
It’s suitable for families with children as young as 4 years old, or younger if you’re happy to piggyback them for part of the walk should they get tired.
